I never thought M would shoot another tickle video, but then I didn’t think she’d ever do the first one. M is an old friend of mine from college. She recently semi-retired from a successful corporate career but stays active in business circles, volunteering for non-profits, sitting on advisory boards, etc. She’s one of the nicest and most genuine people you’d ever meet, but she does have a “game face” and can be formidable in professional settings. From our dating days in college, I knew M was interested in bondage but terrified of tickling. Her fascination with being tied up was not to feel helpless; instead, she always saw it as a challenge to overcome. She loved escaping. Feeling helpless is not M’s thing, and for that reason, tickling was strictly off limits when we used to date. She couldn’t stand how tickling – especially on her feet – made her lose control. All that history led decades later to her first tickle clip, which started as an escape challenge and a tickle bet that I managed to win. I was sure that was the end of it, but in the year since, M occasionally shared with me how it’s bothered her that she couldn’t “beat” the tickling. Of course I told her I’d be glad to give her another chance, and finally when a board meeting this summer brought her back into town, she agreed to give it a go. M likes rope ties, and that was the plan, but when we connected after her meeting for the shoot, it had been such a rough day that she just didn’t have the patience to be tied. Fortunately, I had brought along M’s old nemesis the LOL Tickle Box as a joke, only because she said it terrified her and had sworn never to get into it. On the upside, it’s super quick, so after a she finally relented and climbed in. Unfortunately for M, there is nothing quite like the tickle box for exploiting the helpless feeling of having your feet tickled. The good news is that she laughed so hard it thoroughly cheered her up after an incredibly frustrating day. By the way, she still hasn’t been able to “beat” tickling, so she’s already talking about round three. Fingers crossed… :)
